The Rega family has cultivated and harvested these prized tomatoes since 1965, at the foothills of the Vesuvius, a land made rich and fertile by the last explosion of this volcano. Plump, vibrantly red and elongated, San Marzano tomatoes have a clear, sweet and intense flavor, beloved by chefs' everywhere, and purported to create the best sauce in the world.
