The Nielsen-Massey Peppermint Extract is made from superb mint botanical oils using stringent quality standards. It can be used as a substitute for peppermint oil, crème de menthe, or peppermint schnapps. Unlike extracts labled “natural”, “artificial”, or “imitation”; this mint extract is a pure peppermint extract, meaning the only ingredients are peppermint and alcohol.
Add peppermint extract to baked goods, candies, and desserts for a fresh minty accent. It goes well with both chocolate and vanilla. To compliment savory dishes, use mint with pork or lamb. As a sauce, glaze, or in tea peppermint also blends well with several other herbs including juniper, lavender, rosemary, and basil.
