Grown on the southeastern coasts of Sicily, Pizzuta Sweet Almonds require the exacting soil conditions and plentiful sunlight of sea buffered Sicilian hillsides. Their trees produce incredibly low yield harvests, but what is lacking in quantity is more than made up for in the concentrated flavor of each almond seed. Pizzuta Almonds have smooth hard shells, and flat oval-shaped seeds with a light rust skin color, and high essential oil content.
