It’s made out of sheep’s milk, which is incredibly rich, and which makes Brebirousse even creamier than our creamiest triple cream cow’s milk cheese.
The square shaped cheese from Lyon, France, has a unique orange-tinted bloomy rind, compliments of the annatto that is sprinkled in. But it’s not its look that makes Brebirousse a winner, but its unctuous texture and superb flavor. A flavor that is buttery and simply delicious, with savory notes of hay, mushrooms and grass. The velvety texture envelopes the tongue and lingers, smooth and creamy.
A gorgeous, unique cheese that is a perfect alternative to Brie or Camembert on a cheese board, paired with sweet stone fruit, savory salami and a dry cider.
