Honeycomb - cut

Honeycomb is waxy, sticky, chewy, golden, and delicious. It is a gourmet honey in beeswax. It provides astounding textural complexity, and is a much more versatile ingredient than you might first believe.

Fresh Honeycomb is pulled straight from the beehive and sold with out any filtering or processing. It is the rawest of raw honey, full of healthy nutrients and enzymes. Try snacking on honeycomb all by itself. The first bite floods your mouth with bursts of sweet golden honey, followed by a satisfying chewing of the wax. You can eat the wax, or spit it out once you’ve enjoyed all the honey.

To use honeycomb as an ingredient, try adding it to salad with crumbled goat cheese, or layer it with brie on top of a toasted baguette. Like drizzled honey, honeycomb is delicious in yogurt and ice cream. Or serve it with cheese and fruit for a gourmet appetizer platter.
