Anchovies in Salt

Loaded with strong flavor, Anchovies in Salt by Scalia taste the way they did in Ancient Rome. Our anchovies are a great addition to any dish or even just a healthy snack. They’re packed with lean protein and Omega-3 fatty acids and low in fat.

Our anchovies come from the Scalia company in Sciacca on the Southwestern coast of Sicily. The fish are prepared immediately upon arrival to preserve their freshness and are prepared using techniques based on the old Mediterranean tradition. Established in 1973, Scalia made its way up the Italian anchovy ranks and made it to the upper echelon. They work hard to preserve and replicate ancient Mediterranean flavors in every product shipped around the world.

Anchovies in Salt by Scalia serve as a wonderful pizza or salad topping. Use them in classic Italian antipasto or in your own appetizer creation. A favorite is the place anchovy on top of sliced, toasted baguette bread and drizzle olive oil over the top. Or be a purest and enjoy them as is. However you choose, indulge on this Mediterranean delight today!
