Osetra Caviar
Osetra Sturgeon is a species of fish that originally came only from the Caspian Sea (a large body of water that shares coastlines with Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan). Today, Osetra is also farmed successfully around the world in aquafarms in places like Israel, California, Italy, France, and Uruguay. These aquafarms tend to market their caviar with a unique name to differentiate their caviar from other farmed caviar - Karat from Israel, Caviar de Venise from Italy, etc. The caviar it produces can vary depending on the type of Osetra Sturgeon it comes from, like Siberian Osetra, Russian Sturgeon, Atlantic Sturgeon, Persian Sturgeon, or American Osetra Sturgeon - amongst many others.
